Email Data Privacy
Data Privacy: Privacy is very important to UCB and we always endeavor to protect the privacy of personal data we receive from our customers, employees, patients, business partners or others, and use it in a manner that is compliant with applicable data privacy laws and regulations and our internal data privacy policy.
Disclosures of personal data to third parties: We may disclose your data to other UCB affiliates worldwide that agree to use it in accordance with our internal data privacy policy and applicable data privacy laws and regulations. Your data may also be transferred to third parties who act for or on our behalf, for services delivery, marketing, market research or technical support. These third parties may be located in countries offering a different level of protection than in your own country such as the United States.
Disclosures to other UCB group companies will be based on UCB’s Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs), available by clicking here. Disclosures to third party service providers will be based on transfer contracts or other approved transfer mechanisms. You have the right to obtain a copy of our transfer contracts by contacting us at the email or postal address indicated below. No matter where third parties are located, we will take all necessary steps to ensure protection of your data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Use of personal data: UCB will use your personal data in order to send you email communications for one or more of the following purposes, according to your preferences:
- To provide you with medical and scientific updates;
- To invite you to webinars or send you CME event notifications;
- To provide you with corporate information on UCB;
- To provide you with information on UCB’s branded products; and
- To gather your professional insights and market research data.
Any use of your personal data for direct marketing purposes by email or other electronic means will be based on your express consent for us to do so and will always be subject to your right to withdraw that consent thereafter.
We will retain your personal data for the period during which we have an active professional relationship with you, until you notify us that you no longer wish us to hold and process your data, or for as long as required by applicable laws and regulations.
Your rights: You have the right to be informed about the personal data we hold about you and to ask for it to be amended, restricted or erased, or to oppose our use of your personal data for the purposes set out above. You also have the right to modify your contact preferences or to unsubscribe entirely from any UCB communications.
